She was my good friend from Andhra Pradesh. Still we are good friends. Whenever time permits, we use to chat via Whatsapp. Since both are busy with their own work, we don’t find much time to chat. But whenever we chat, we use to have some quality time. One thing which I didn’t like or hate in her is, She is committed.
The most irritating part is whenever I try to flirt, she use to remind me that she is committed. Probably, that’s one painful thing being single. But, I never give up in this.
One fine day, she was in her home town and she was upset because of her shopping. She went to get gold it seems. She was not happy with what she got. She was saying the same to me. I know little bit Telugu. So, decided to use the situation and uttered the below sentence
“Nuve bangaram, enthukku bangram”
(your gold, then why you need gold)
This is what I meant to say, I am not sure whether I conveyed the same in Telugu. But the reaction was ultimate. She didn’t reply for few minutes. After a long gap, she replied. Below was her reply,
“I was laughing like anything. Even my boy friend had not said like this. I am impressed”
Mission accomplished !
