Let me share the life style of two IT Engineers,
Scenario 1:
IT Engineer with 5 years experience, from the metro city, earning 10 lakhs per annum. IT Engineer works on rotational shift basis. Spends more than 9 hours in the office. Rest of the time, spends time in sleeping. Living a life opposite to the nature, that is wake up at night and sleep in the morning. No time to spend for personal work and family. The only good thing is, weekends are free to spend. But often spend weekends in the bed to relieve from the weekday work load.
Scenario 2:
IT Engineer with 5 years experience, from the metro city, earning 6.5 lakhs per annum. IT Engineer works on regular shift. Doesn’t spend more than 9 hours in the office. Has more time to spend with family and on personal work. Having a balanced professional and personal life. Often spend weekends with personal interest and family.
Often people think that Scenario 2 is the mediocre life. But, I feel scenario 1 is the mediocre life. I strong believe that,
“There is no use is earning, when you don’t have the time to spend”
People who live in the scenario 2 are comfortable and having a wonderful life. Mostly they are satisfied with their life style. They don’t move towards scenario 1. It’s all because, life is more important than anything else. And,
“Living a mediocre life is far better than the life with no meaning.”
