Is P. Chidambaram corrupt?

In Quora, I have been asked to answer a question on why P. Chidambaram and his son laughing before the camera, when they are corrupt. I wrote the below thing as my answer for the question..

Yet to Prove!

I can understand the mindset of the person who asked this question via the words used in the question. Yes, P. Chidambaram and his son is smiling in front of the camera. They are happy. They are really happy and you should accept the fact that, the charges against P. Chidambaram and his son is yet to be proven.

In India, it is easy to claim and arrest someone with some allegations. Proving it would be the challenging task. Organization which involves in the case should provide sufficient information about the allegations and prove that they are right before the court. Court will decide the verdict. Unfortunately in India, we have many unofficial court and Judges.

Example: All allegations against Narendra Modi with respect to Gujarat riot was proven false before the court. Before the court passes it's verdict, many unofficial judges and courts punished him and damaged his name. This is applicable for P. Chidambaram and his son too.

Apart from this, I wish to share something about the background of Mr. P. Chidambaram. Below the photo of Mr. P. Chidambaram's grand father, Raja Sir Annamalai Chettiar.

One should read from Wikipedia and other sources to know more about Raja sir Annamalai chettair and about the royal Chettinaad family.

Link : S. Rm. M. Annamalai Chettiar - Wikipedia

Yes, he belongs to the Royal Chettinaad family who are considered as one of the pioneers in doing global business from Indian soil. And one cannot predict the value of this Royal family. No wonder, if they have property in abroad too. Because they did business in abroad.

Coming to the case against Chidambaram and his son, so far it has been claimed that Mr. P. Chidambaram, grandson of Raja sir Annamalai chettair took 10 lak rupees as bribe. Pathetic and funny are the two words which I would like to use for these allegations.

From my perspective, Chidambaram or his son should never get the idea of being corrupt with respect to their family legacy. If they are proven corrupt, then I wish the highest punishment should be given to Chidambaram and his son. If Chidambaram and his son is corrupt, then how come we can expect the politician from poor background to be not corrupt.?

By the way what if the charges were not proved?

Can he get back the reputation what he had gained so far?

Cheers!
